BodyArmorNews.Com is excited to announce that Logistik Unicorp has won the Body Armor Innovation Award 2026 for their revolutionary Women’s Armour System! This milestone commemorates Logistik Unicorp’s commitment to increasing ease of access to body armor for female officers and underscores the growing industry demand for inclusivity.
The Road to Victory
Seventeen submissions from across the global body armor industry started our competition. With the help of our expert jury panel, 4 finalists were selected. These innovations embodied the spirit of innovation: Australian Defence Apparel (ADA)’s ENFORCR® H.A.L.O. X Carrier, Franz Barta GmbH’s Laser Etch Transfer Labels, Bodyguard Concealed Armor Systems’ Armored Backpacks and Jackets and our winner, Logistik Unicorp’s Women’s Armour System.
The victor was decided by a public vote across our body armor community. In total, we received 649 votes. Our winner received 40% of votes, with ADA’s Modular H.A.L.O. X following with 27%. In 3rd place was Bodyguard’s Switchblade Gear with 23% of votes, and in 4th place was Franz Barta’s Laser Labels with 9%.
Women’s Armour System: Inclusivity as the Spirit of Innovation
Logistik Unicorp’s Women’s Armour System represents a huge leap forward in the body armor industry by addressing long-standing fit and performance gaps for female soldiers. Designed using extensive anthropometric data, 3D scanning, and human-factors evaluation, the system delivers inclusive plate curvatures and a modular, fully adjustable architecture that fits up to 99% of the female population. In collaboration with world-class armour specialists, NP Aerospace, this innovation enhances comfort, mobility, and survivability. This victory sends a clear message: innovation is only innovation if it is inclusive for us all.

This recognition is especially meaningful because the Women’s Armor System was designed by women, for women. From the outset, our goal was to deliver maximum protection with the lowest complexity, without compromise. We worked extensively with our partner NP Aerospace, whose deep expertise and advanced 3D scanning capabilities allowed us to optimize coverage and protection across a wide range of body types. By ensuring that our carrier and their plate work seamlessly together, and by conducting comprehensive sizing sessions, we were able to properly protect the broadest possible population.
