Semper Invicta is a French company established in 2021. Focused on discrete solutions, Semper Invicta (in English, always invincible), prioritizes discretion in its security solutions. At Milipol Paris, we interviewed Sales Director Alexis Anfray about balancing protection and elegance.
Invincible Innovation
Semper Invicta first got its start with the Parapactum. This unique product is shaped like a normal umbrella, but protects against more than just the rain. Since 2010, this tool has been used to protect important figures, namely presidents and other political leaders, from “projectiles, acids and chemical attacks”.
The Parapactum is also available in a bulletproof version, with an NIJ 3A rating. In both its versions, discretion is emphasized. The goal is to maximize protection without drawing attention to the important figures that use the equipment.
Security vs Defense
Alexis Anfray stresses that Semper Invicta is in “security” rather than “defense”. While defense companies are more focused on “war materials” and providing advanced protection against “assault rifle”, Semper Invicta’s focus is on “internal security” up to NIJ level 3A.
Semper Invicta’s case shows that higher certification does not always mean better protection. While there are situations – especially those of direct military combat or war – in which the highest levels of protection are essential, there are others where they are not required. In Semper Invicta’s use cases, which require discretion above all, lower levels of protection may be preferred if they do not require wearers to sacrifice comfort or concealment.

Invincible in All Attires
The company’s strong name is drawn from Latin. In particular, it speaks to their desire to ensure you can “always be protected, regardless of your dresscode”. Whether that means “uniform”, “civilian clothing” or something in between, “you should always be able to protect yourself,” explains Anfray.
Beyond this, the company places a strong emphasis on the design of its pieces. Their “sweaters that look like sweaters” can “protect you against slashing” or “down vests that look like down vests” that guard against “handguns”. When the “concealable purpose” of a mission is crucial, companies cannot afford not to invest into the look of their products.
