Baltimore, MD – In 1936, Henry Packard White set out to create the world's preeminent ballistics lab: HP White Laboratory. Over 75 years HP White has pioneered many of the ballistics standards in use today and continues setting a standard for Consistency, Accuracy and Integrity. In celebration of its 75-year milestone, HP White will host an Industry Open House on November 15, 2011.

The event features Debra Stoe, NIJ Standards and Testing Program Manager, who will speak on the Evolution of Body Armor Standards, Testing and Certification. The event will also feature the ground-breaking of HP White’s newest ballistics testing range, and the HP White Museum Walk will be unveiled. This retrospective is a walking tour through 75 years of ballistics milestones and memorabilia, including the original Cartridge Head Stamp Guide produced by White through the late 1960s, and a CBS news report from the grounds of HP White in 1967, when it tested (for Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather) how quickly John F Kennedy’s assassin could fire three rounds at a moving target.

“Over 75 years HP White has been involved in many history making events,” said Mike Parker, president, HP White Laboratory. “Through it all, we are most proud of the fact that HP White was trusted to bring scientific reason to these moments in time.”

HP White’s Industry Open House will be held at its Street, MD laboratory.
